Jennifer Wood received her music performance degree from the University of Madison, Wisconsin. She is also a certified Suzuki teacher and started the Charleston Suzuki Academy in Charleston, WV. Ms.Wood also taught strings in the Kanawha Public Schools, and received her educational training during the summer pedagogy with viola, cello and bass at the UW summer Madison Institute.

She has also held a creative role in forming and performing in successful chamber music societies, such as the Breckenridge Music Institute, Piccolo Chamber Music in Charleston South Carolina and creating the Charleston Chamber Society, SC.

Ms. Wood travels to perform with the Ohio Valley Symphony, and also performs in the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, and has held positions with the Charleston Symphony, SC, North Carolina Symphony, New World Symphony, and the Breckenridge Music Institute. In the summers she performs with the Bach and Beyond Music Festival in New York.

Ms. Wood devotes her time to a full teaching studio of traditional and Suzuki styles in her home studio. She also performs full time with the Montclaire String Quartet in Residence at WV State University, teaching students, playing concertmaster with the WV State Philharmonic Orchestra and coaching the Charleston Chamber Players; a youth group devoted to retirement home performances.
