As a Comedian, Drew Hastings has been a well-known standup for 20-plus years with television comedy specials, Tonight Show appearances, and a regular favorite on the National Bob & Tom Radio Show.

As a Farmer. A lifelong, loft living, city dweller, he left Los Angeles at age 50 to take up farming in rural Ohio
which he describes as “Farmageddon”.

As Mayor: he was just re-elected as Mayor of the small, rural City of Hillsboro, Ohio, where his politically incorrect candor would get most elected officials recalled, (they’ve tried twice) yet somehow he thrives.

MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS is celebrating its 42nd Anniversary (1974-2015). Created by Harvey Phillips, MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS 2015 will be presented in over 250 cities throughout the United States and in several foreign countries. TUBACHRISTMAS ensembles may attract participants aged 8 to over 90 years! The warm, rich organ-like sound of tuba-euphonium choir has won the ears and hearts of every audience!

All proceeds of this spectacular event benefit the continuing restoration of the historic Ariel-Ann Carson Dater Performing Arts Centre.  Brittany’s owner Kay Hardway is excited to again showcase teens from 8 area high schools modeling the new 2016 prom styles.

String into Spring! Janice Martin, violin, voice, piano

There is no performer quite like Janice Martin. She achieves virtuosity as a violinist, pianist, soprano and perhaps most impressively, boasts the title as the world’s only aerial violinist. Janice’s multi-dimensional artistry has disarmed classical, popular and jazz audiences alike while creating ardent fans who span a broad demographic. Renowned composers such as the LA Philharmonic composer-in-residence Steven Stuckey, Bob Goldstone and Charlie Barnett have written for Ms. Martin (who wrote “Concerto in Fourths” for her) prompting collaborations with such with Jazz artists such as Larry Willis and David Bixler. In 2009 she wowed millions of viewers on the popular NBC Series America’s Got Talent with her aerial violin and vocal performance, and her playing has been featured on television projects for the Discovery and History Channels as well on the big screen in the Miramax film “Paperclips.” She is a frequent guest performer with Cirque de la Symphonie, an “orchestrated aerial dance spectacular,” and is a headline act in Branson, MO.

Ms. Martin’s musical credentials include top prizes at both the Washington International Competition, the Young Artist International Competition, and the Career Award Grant by National Endowment for the Arts. For her accomplishments, The Stradivari Society awarded her the honorary use of the 1708 Burstein/Bagshawe Stradivarius Violin.

Join the historic Ariel-Dater Hall in welcoming the Tri-County Gospel Sing, presented by Pastor Rick Barcus of the Addison Free Will Baptist Church. This concert is free to the public. A love offering will be collected. Doors open at 5 pm and the concert starts at 6 pm.
