The Ariel-Ann Carson Dater Performing Arts Centre (the “Ariel”) and The Ohio Valley Symphony values your privacy.  We have developed this Privacy Policy to disclose how we collect information from you through our website, how we use that information, and to inform you as to your privacy rights as one of our valued patrons.

Information collected during your website visit

The Ariel does not collect any personally-identifiable information during the course of your visit to our site.

We only collect anonymous information that helps us to develop a comprehensive record of visitation statistics for our website. These statistics help us to track the effectiveness of our website user interface and content, search engine optimization, etc. The anonymous information we collect may include but is not limited to: the IP address of your computer/device, the pages viewed during your visit, the duration of your visit, and the technical capabilities of your computer/device.

Collection of your device’s IP address is completely anonymous. There is no way for us to use your IP address to collect personally-identifiable information from you, nor is there any way for us to associate your IP address with any personally-identifiable information we may already have on file.

Information collected when you purchase online a ticket, or make a donation or other financial contribution

The Ariel is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and we accept online payments for the purchase of tickets to events, for financial contributions of a philanthropic nature (ie: donations and sponsorships) and for venue rentals. These payments can be made online, via telephone, or in person.

Etix: Online ticket orders and donation transactions are processed through Etix (Etix privacy policy). As a ticket purchaser, you understand and agree that Etix (not the Ariel) is the party responsible and liable for ensuring the security of the credit card data you submit via the e-commerce purchase system they have created.

Paypal: Online donations and special events registration and ticketing fees may be processed through Paypal (Paypal privacy policy). As a purchaser and/or donor, you understand and agree that Paypal (not the Ariel) is the party responsible and liable for ensuring the security of the credit card data you submit via the e-commerce purchase system they have created.

After a financial transaction is completed by any method, the Ariel stores basic information about the transaction in a secure patron database. The information may include, but is not limited to: name, contact information, dates of past purchases or contributions, dollar values, and seating preferences.

The Ariel collects and analyzes this information for the purposes of improving relationships with patrons, and to better understand the behaviors and preferences of patrons so as to improve the types of programs offered by the Ariel.

When you contact us by one of these methods, we may collect and record any personally identifiable info you choose to provide to us, which could include but is not limited to: your first name, your last name, your phone number(s), your fax number, your email address, and/or your physical mailing address. We collect this information strictly for the purpose of communicating with you more effectively.

The Ariel will never sell or distribute your personal contact information to any third party.

With regards to social media, your use of any social media pages maintained by the Ariel is governed by the privacy policies of the respective social networks. Information collected when you opt-in to our email list

The Ariel maintains a large database of subscribers who have willfully opted-in to receive email messages from the Ariel and OVS. These email messages may include but are not limited to: information about upcoming events, news releases, and information about special discounts and promotions. We typically send emails a couple times a month and about a week before upcoming events.

You are free to opt-out to our email list at any time. To do so, please reply to the email and asked to be removed.

You are also free to opt-out of our postal mailing list at any time. To do so, the most effective method is to call the box office at 740-446-2787 and leave a message with your first and last name and your street address (so we know we have the correct patron) and say you’d like to be removed from the mail list.

The Ariel will never sell or distribute our email list to any third parties.
